Meet the Mesquite Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

We’re a small crew, and that’s on purpose. Every person who shows up at your door in Mesquite lives within twenty minutes of you, shops at the same H-E-B, and will probably see you at the high school football game on Friday. We’ve been at this since 2004, all local, all owner-operated. No national call center, no rotating cast of subcontractors. The person who answers your call knows the person who shows up, and the person who shows up answers to Otto Reinhardt directly. Here’s who you’ll meet.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt – Owner & Lead Technician

Otto founded Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 after spending his early years working on doors across Dallas County and realizing he could do it better on his own. He’s the one who answers the phone at nine at night when a spring lets go, and he quotes the job right then and holds that number when he arrives. Otto has installed or repaired doors from every major brand you can name: LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor. He counts spring cycles the way you count tire miles and will tell you exactly what’s left on yours. Ask him about the palindrome thing sometime. Otto reads the same from either end, same as a good door.

Marcus T. – Senior Installer

Marcus has been with Otto for eleven years and has hung more new doors in Mesquite and the surrounding county than he can count. He specializes in full door replacements and custom sizing, and he’s the one Otto sends when a rough opening is stubborn or a track needs finesse. Marcus is factory-trained on Clopay and Amarr installation and has been through advanced training on LiftMaster and Chamberlain opener systems. His truck is organized to the point it makes the rest of us look bad. When Marcus finishes a job, he sweeps the garage floor before he leaves, every single time. He keeps a photo album on his phone of the worst rusted-out doors he’s pulled out of Mesquite homes last year, and he’ll show you if you ask.

Elena R. – Service Coordinator

Elena is the voice on the phone during the day, and she’s the reason the schedule runs like it should. She’s been with Otto’s Garage Door for six years and knows every neighborhood in our service area well enough to tell you roughly how long the drive’ll take. Elena handles scheduling and parts ordering and makes sure every job has the right hardware on the truck before anyone leaves the shop. She’s the one who tracks the 90-Day Done Right Promise paperwork and makes sure it goes out on every invoice. If you call with a photo of a broken spring and a door stuck halfway, Elena can usually tell you what you’re looking at before Otto even calls you back. She keeps a running list of every senior and veteran discount applied since 2004, and she remembers the names of repeat customers years later.

DeShawn B. – Apprentice Technician

DeShawn joined the crew two years ago after finishing his training, and he’s the one riding along with Otto or Marcus on most jobs. He handles the foundational work: cable checks, roller replacement, new weather seal, opener reprogramming. DeShawn is currently working through advanced certification on Genie and Wayne Dalton systems, and he spends his off-hours studying spring mechanics because he wants to know the why behind every fix, not just the how. He’s got a habit of narrating what he’s doing while he works, which customers seem to appreciate. If DeShawn helps with your door and you have a question about what he found, he’ll explain it until you’re satisfied. He’s also the fastest of us on a ladder, which matters more than you’d think.
